• The healthcare network revalidates the ISO 9001 and 14001 certificates

Madrid, February 17, 2020. Adeslas Salud, a subsidiary of SegurCaixa Adeslas in charge of managing the 27 Adeslas medical centers, has received the UNE 179003: 2013 standard certificate for its Córdoba medical center. This is the first outpatient center to have this accreditation in Spain granted exclusively to hospitals. The Cordoba clinic is prepared to perform outpatient care, such as endoscopies, pain management, or outpatient surgery of medium complexity.

The adoption of the new certificate entails the creation of a Patient Safety Committee that meets quarterly to identify risk situations for the patients throughout the provision of the service. Once this analysis has been done, the Committee will evaluate what actions to take to prevent risks or reduce the probability of errors or adverse effects from occurring.

The UNE 179003 Standard puts Adeslas Salud at the forefront of patient safety and it is planned to extend it to other medical centers with the company’s outpatient services. The initiative joins the renewal of the ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications for the entire Adeslas Salud healthcare network. In this way, Adeslas Salud centers validate compliance with the most demanding international standards in environmental management and quality of service. "The adoption of integrated management systems are proof of the company's commitment to quality in healthcare at a time characterized by the appearance of increasingly complex and specialized processes and techniques," explains Luis Iglesias, Deputy Director General of Personal Bouquets from SegurCaixa Adeslas.

Adeslas Salud has 27 medical centers where nearly 1,250 professionals work and who treated more than 400,000 policyholders last year. The company continually invests in the technological modernization of its centers, as well as in streamlining processes and updating the skills of its staff. The objective of these efforts is aimed at improving user service, which rated 9 out of 10 in the latest satisfaction statistics.
